The Repeater is now operational. It is activated by voiceand a CTCSS setting of 110.9. (no ctcss - no access)
50.780 MHz OUTPUT and 51.280 MHz input It has FIVE cavity filters (3 on receive and 2 on transmit) and Geoff hopes to fit a third on transmit in the near future. LIKE ALL 6M REPEATERS it has good propagation during daylight hours and mediocre to poor during the night. It should be accessed with MORE THAN 5 WATTS and a GOOD ANTENNA. A short stub antenna might not work. Many of those who were at the talk joined or re-joined ARGONI to help finance the running of the repeater. (£20) If you intend to use the repeater and get enjoyment from it thenyou are invited to join and help with the upkeep.
